Children from birth to 18 years with speech, language, social communication, and/or reading and writing difficulties.

The number of sessions a child may need varies significantly. Families are typically offered weekly therapy if deemed necessary and are discharged when the child reaches their goals. However, families are able to book as many or as few sessions as they like based on their schedule, needs, and finances. There is no minimum requirement, and you are not committed to a certain number of sessions.
-
Assessments typically take 1 to 1.5 hours for children under the age of 6. For children over 6 years old, appointments can take longer due to the need for more formal testing of language and literacy skills. Therapy visits are 30 or 45 minutes. The length of your appointment will always be discussed with you prior to booking and billing.

Yes. Each child needs a recent assessment by a speech-language pathologist in order to determine the child’s skills, design a treatment plan, and set therapy goals. If your child has a recent evaluation report from another speech-language pathologist, this can be used, and an additional assessment will not be necessary. Please let us know during your intake call if your child has had a recent speech and language assessment.
